Before you do this make sure you have root access of your Motorola XT720 Milestones.

Step 1: make 2 kinds of partitions, the first partition with fat32 format, and partition 2 formatted with EXT2 or EXT3 (this part is used for installation aplikasi2 – replacement of internal memory HP) is usually  1GB is enough.

Step 2: if both partitions are formatted activate the second partition.

If this step is complete SDCards partition, then download the file here APPs2SD.

Extract using winzip. Extract with the folder name and copy to your sdcard app2sd
well now play with ADB’s step

1. Download archive android-sdk_r06-windows.zip (search on google) and extract the folder c: / android /

2. In HH: select menu settings, select applications, select development.
Make sure the usb debugging is already in the check / is enabled her, and to position
USB charging only. Then connect to the computer.

3. Open cmd prompt (dos prompt / windows:>> start>> run>> cmd) and then
typed at the prompt
c: /> cd android
c: / android> cd tools

4. Run adb by typing “adb devices” and make sure motorola
XT720 milestones already kedetect well in the list.

5. type “adb shell” to show the $ sign

6. Type “su” (now usually see on the screen HP will have a request permision, choose allow.

7. type “cd / sdcard/apps2sd”

8. type “sh install_use_busybox.sh”

9. type Y to confirm

10. Wait until finished, then reboot

11. Enjoy it.

App2SD For Milestone XT720

For anyone that struggle to install App2SD on Motorola milestone XT720, i found good tutorial to do that and work.

1. App2SD Version 2 (Download at the bottom)
This revised version of App2SD is more refine. It moves cache as well as apps to MicroSD.

App2SD installation:

1. Unzip the downloaded file and you should see a folder “APP2SD Package”.

2. Rename “APP2SD Package” folder to “app2sd” and move this folder to MicroSD. (place it in the root: MicroSD card/)

Next, simply connect the Milestone to your computer.

Ensure it is “Charge Only” for USB connection and USB Debugging mode for USB is turned on under Settings > Applications > Development.

Once you have the above checked, go ahead to launch a command prompt and perform the following:

Type: cd/ (to get to the root of your C: drive)

Type: cd /android/tools (to get to the folder of the Android SDK which i mentioned earlier)

Type: adb devices (you should see your Milestone serial number showing up. If you do not see serial number, it means there is no connection to your Milestone)

Type: adb shell

Type: su (make sure you do not see a prompt window on your Milestone. If you do, grant permission for it to access)

Type: cd /sdcard/apps2sd

Type: sh install_use_busybox.sh (trigger installation of App2SD)

Type: y (to confirm that you want to install)
wait for the prompt to show you that App2SD is complete and a reboot is needed for it to take effect.

Type: y (to confirm reboot. You might notice that Milestone do not reboot by self which is normal)

Type: reboot (if you find Milestone do not reboot after you enter y as above mentioned)
